So I managed to pick up the phantom package that has been sitting at the post office for two weeks. Lots of cool DVDs, including Planet Earth on Blu Ray. Yeah, high-definition nature footage is just about the neatest thing I've ever seen. Seriously, I watched it for hours. It's glorious.
Coming in a close second at potential time-stealing activities, I'm just about to finish downloading Team Fortress 2. This precludes the possibility of accomplishing anything with my free time for the next several weeks. Forget about any of that other stuff I promised to do. This looks to be the biggest time-spender I've experienced since Counterstrike. Ouch.
Had another test today. This one didn't feel quite as bad as the other did. I'm confident of an A, unless I'm totally out of my mind. Of course, that exact scenario happened last month, so we'll see how it plays out. And tomorrow, it's back to lectures about electrical, um, stuff. And more soldering. I swear, if I ever see a microphone cable again after this month, it's going to give me the shakes.
On a totally unrelated note, I had a fist of nostalgia for my brief tenure at GoDaddy today. To celebrate it I went to the local Sonic to grab my dinner when I encountered an interesting fact: the Thousand Island Burger is a regional menu item which is unavailable in Florida. I was appalled. The menu here had two identical burgers listed (the regular burger, and the "Dixie" Burger which is just the regular burger with mustard and mayo. Bogus.) Regional menus are a terrible idea. If the restaurant carries it in one location and is a well-known chain, it should be obligated to have thousand island burgers because I deserve it, damn it all. I am not pleased.
The good news is that while I was writing this, Team Fortress finished downloading. Time to turn on the excitement!
