I had some Denny's around 2:30 AM tonight. Right about now, my body is starting to ask me why the hell I would do something like that to myself. Well, I'll answer it publicly. Denny's is freaking delicious after a few beers and a night of good music. Yes, Phil actually went out and did stuff this evening!
To start with, some friends from school and I went to a place called Austin's Coffee nearby. I had met a few of the acts before, and of course it was a good show. This guy played, and also some other acts whose pages I can't seem to find. This is probably a result of having drank this earlier. It's bigger than it looks, really.
Anyway, the music was great and gave me more awful pangs of nostalgia for the College Perk. Afterwards, those of us that were still soldiering on met up at another friend's apartment for drinks and beer pong. This eventually led to a discussion on the merits of Snakes On A Plane and an aborted attempt on my part to watch the movie. Instead, we went to the aforementioned Denny's. And now it's been several hours since I wanted to go to sleep and my sheets are still in the dryer, and I'm utterly exhausted, but the Penguins beat the Ducks so it all works out in the end.
Also, is it just me or did My Chemical Romance suddenly start sounding awesome? I find it hard to believe that I've been overlooking them for years now. Thanks, Guitar Hero, for another band I would've missed entirely.
