First, let me start with a retraction. I don't really suck at soldering as bad as the last post may have led you to believe, I was just incredibly frustrated. Today we put together a little circuit with some blinking lights and mine was excellent. I'm a little worried about the tests and timed cable-making exercises, but that's probably just nerves. Really, I'm awesome at school and how could I possibly do badly?
Second, an apology for not posting yesterday. I went out intending to grab some taco bell, come home and write. Instead, I ended up at a friend's apartment sequencing some drums for a song of his and drinking Heineken. A very productive evening in that sense, but I regret it insofar as I've neglected you, my loyal readers.
So. Since I can't watch hockey, I decided to finish up season 3 of Boston Legal tonight. The first scene in the episode I started with? William Shatner engraving his name on the Stanley Cup. How's that for rubbing it in my own face, right? And on top of that, ESPN.com's stats weren't working, so I had no way of really following what was happening. Boston Legal was great, though. This tempered the Penguins' awful loss a little, I have to admit. I have a weak spot in my heart for Denny Crane.
I remember earlier having something really, really important to write about but it's completely slipped my mind. It was going to be a fantastic entry about something that went beyond the usual self-absorbed ranting. Instead, you'll have to settle for me bitching about school and hockey in the usual stream-of-consciousness fashion.
Just booked my flight out to Phoenix for Thanksgiving break. That is going to be an awesome time having absolutely no responsibilities for five days. I fully intend to be drunk and playing Guitar Hero 3/Rock Band for at least three of them. I will break high scores. I will sleep on sofas. I will leave a trail of blood, sweat and tears through the Valley of the Sun. I will resolve to stop making poetic statements about spending four straight days drinking and playing video games. God, I'm a loser, aren't I?
Tomorrow's forecast includes hanging out in coffee houses and possibly some shopping. This concludes our broadcast day. You stay classy, internets.
